Tess joined the Winding Creek team June of 2023 right after she graduated in May 2023 from Colorado State University (CSU), with a degree in biology and military science. She decided to continued her education and earned her master's degree in Comparative Biomedical Sciences from University of Georgia (UGA) in May 2025. In August 2025, she began her military career as a transportation officer in the Army Reserves and is the commander for a transportation detachment in Indiana. 

Tess does plan on attending veterinary school to be a veterinarian at some point in the future when she is ready and hopes to become veterinarian for the US Army working with the military working dogs. She has worked in the industry since 2017 starting at boarding facilities and animal shelters. In her free time, Tess enjoys spending time with her deaf Cattle Dog Mix, Wednesday, as well as her 3 other family dogs & Chinchilla. Her favorite dog breeds are English Bulldogs and Corgis.
